For candidates
Account & sign-in
How do I create a candidate account?
Click Sign up on the home page, choose Candidate, and follow the prompts.
You can also browse jobs without an account — you'll only need to sign in when you want to save a job, apply, or message a recruiter.
What's the password policy?
Minimum 10 characters, with at least one uppercase, one lowercase, one digit, and one symbol. We never store the plaintext — we hash with bcrypt.
Can I sign in with Google or Apple?
Yes — both are supported on the mobile app. Web sign-in via Google / Apple is on the roadmap.
How do I delete my account?
Profile → Settings → Delete account, or email support with the email on the account. We process deletions within 30 days per UK GDPR.
Applying for jobs
What is Quick Apply?
Quick Apply uses the CV already on your profile to apply with one tap. No retyping for every job. Available wherever the employer accepts on-site applications.
Do all jobs use Quick Apply?
No. Some employers run their own ATS and the apply button takes you to their site instead. The button label tells you which it'll be.
Can I withdraw an application?
Yes — on the Applications screen, open the application and tap Withdraw. You can't withdraw once it's reached Hired or Rejected.
How do I know what stage my application is at?
The Applications tab shows the live status. The mobile app pushes a notification when the recruiter moves you to Interviewed, Offered, Hired, or Rejected.
CV & profile
What CV formats are accepted?
PDF, DOC, and DOCX. Maximum 10 MB. We extract the text for boolean search and you can preview the rendered version on your profile.
Who can see my CV?
Only employers who unlock your profile via CV search can see your full CV and contact details. Until then, search results are masked. You can also opt out of CV search entirely in Settings.
Why does my profile feel hidden?
Recruiter search ranks active candidates higher. Sign in regularly, keep your profile fresh, and your visibility goes up automatically.
Job alerts
How do job alerts work?
Save a search (keyword, location, frequency) and we email you new matches. Choose Instant (within minutes), Daily, or Weekly.
Why do Instant alerts need a verified email?
To stop bad actors flooding the queue. Verify your email at registration and Instant becomes available.
Mobile app
Is there an iOS app?
Coming soon. Android is live; iOS is in App Store review.
Why am I not getting push notifications?
Check Settings → Notifications on the phone first. The app needs notification permission. If it's granted and you're still missing pushes, sign out and back in to re-register the device with us.

Getting started
How long does it take to post a job?
~10 minutes for a polished listing. The onboarding guide walks through it step by step.
Do you have free trials?
Self-serve sign-up is free; you only pay when you publish a job or unlock a CV. Talk to us about trial credits if you're evaluating for a contract.
Can I trial CV search?
Yes — ask your account manager for a trial pack. Typically 10 unlocks for a fortnight.
Posting jobs
How long does a job stay live?
30 days by default. You can extend or close early at any time from the Jobs tab.
What's the difference between Boost, Top Job, and Featured?
Boost: lifts your job in the default sort. Top Job: pins to the top of every search result. Featured: appears on the home page rotation. Pricing.
Where do my jobs syndicate to?
Google for Jobs (every published role automatically), Indeed and major aggregators via our XML feed, and our own RSS / job-alert pipeline.
Can I edit a job after publishing?
Yes — title, description, requirements, salary all editable while the role is live. Re-publishing isn't required for edits.
Applications & pipeline
Where do applications land?
In Hiring → Applications. You'll get an email per submission and a desktop notification if you're on the portal.
Can I integrate with my ATS?
Yes — we have a stable v1 API. See /developers. Bullhorn, Vincere, Mercury, JobAdder users typically have it running in a couple of hours.
Can my team collaborate on applications?
Yes. Invite team members under Company → Team. Notes, tags, and stage history are visible to the whole tenant. Scorecards from the interview panel aggregate on the application card.
CV search
How does the boolean search work?
Same syntax as Elasticsearch
query_string: phrases in quotes, AND / OR / NOT in uppercase, parentheses for grouping, * for wildcards. Examples in the guide.
How long does an unlock last?
30 days. Re-viewing the same candidate within that window is free.
What's a CV alert?
A saved search emailed to you on a schedule (Instant / Daily / Weekly). Catches fresh profiles without having to re-run the query manually.
Billing
What payment methods do you take?
Card via Stripe for self-serve. Invoice + bank transfer for contract customers (≥ £500/month).
Can I get a VAT receipt?
Yes — every Stripe transaction emits a UK VAT-compliant receipt. Contract invoices include VAT broken out.
Are credits refundable?
Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase. Used credits aren't.
Sponsored banners
What banner placements are available?
Home midpage, home footer, jobs-list top, jobs-list inline, job-detail sidebar. Pricing depends on placement, duration, and exclusivity. Talk to your account manager.
What stats do I get?
Live views, clicks, and CTR with a daily breakdown. Visible in your portal under Company → Banner performance.
For recruitment agencies
Agency setup
How is the agency account different?
Agencies get a Clients section — pick the end-employer when posting and their name appears on the listing while you remain the billing tenant and pipeline owner. Confidential clients can be marked anonymous.
Can I post for multiple clients on one account?
Yes — that's the typical agency setup. Add as many clients as you need under Hiring → Clients.
Can clients see their own pipeline?
Not directly today — the agency holds the pipeline. Per-client client portals are on the roadmap; tell us if you'd use this.
CV search & outreach
Are CV unlocks tracked separately per client?
Yes — the audit log records which client a candidate was unlocked for, useful for split-fee accounting.
What's Reverse search?
We surface candidates who match a job spec, so you can approach them rather than wait for inbound. Different from CV search: you don't write the boolean — we derive it from the job description.
Compliance & data
Are you GDPR compliant?
Yes — UK GDPR, ICO-registered, data hosted in the UK. Subject access requests and right-to-erasure handled via the privacy contact.
Do you sell candidate data?
Never. Candidate data is exposed only via the recruiter-side surfaces (CV search, applications, messages) to the agencies the candidate has implicitly opted in to via search-eligibility.
